Meet The Team

Juergen Koller

CEO | Founder

Dr. Juergen Koller is the CEO and Founder of Sequestro, Inc., a start-up focused on commercializing a novel PFAS sequestration technology. A trained synthetic inorganic chemist, he has extensive expertise in wet-chemistry methods and laboratory techniques, including air-sensitive transformations. Juergen’s academic background includes research on Chemical Vapor Deposition of Tungsten Nitride films at the University of Florida and main-group metal catalysis at UC Berkeley. With over 13 years of experience in the chemical industry, he has held key positions at Momentive Performance Materials, the Department of Defense’s Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), and Wacker Chemical Corporation. His career has focused on scaling bench-scale chemistries to manufacturing scale, making him an expert in translating lab innovations into commercial applications.

ANNE McNEIL

Technology Inventor | Co-Founder | Scientific Advisor

Prof. Anne McNeil is the original inventor of the PFAS capture technology and Co-Founder of Sequestro, Inc. Her research team developed the functionalized wood pulp, and she holds relevant patents detailing the core technology. Anne is currently the Carol A. Fierke Collegiate Professor of Chemistry and Arthur F. Thurnau Professor of Chemistry; Macromolecular Science and Engineering at the University of Michigan. Anne’s research group will support the company through continued involvement in the development efforts. Future technology adaptations will be based on her expert knowledge, and she will serve as a Scientific Advisor for business decisions involving the core technology.
